Our work on the Navajo Nation cited by DePaul University
February 13, 2017
The picture above shows a tree that was planted in May of 2016 inside the tree tube as a seedling and, by the end of the summer, had grown out the top!
Kevin Sofen (left) is a graduate of DePaul University and has been raising funds to help us plant trees in a sustainable setting of food forest. Tracy Raymond (right) has been facilitating the workshops we have held and administering programs for another non profit that has been funding our effort.
Unfortunately, the USDA grant that helped us provide workshops on the Navajo Nation has terminated, but not before we worked with the residents of the Navajo Nation to plant 7 fledgling food forests.
